@nikittalouise1: I AM IN THE TRENCHES!! This is getting hard now! Compared to my usual approach I have actually been taking it all very well & been patient but the last few weeks I have been really struggling with how long everything is taking and with how much over budget we are. When people tell you to double your budget & timescales, BELIEVE THEM! So here is the reality…we are currently sat at around £30k over what we thought we would spend when we put our offer in the house. Granted that includes work we have had done elsewhere on the house but is still money we never accounted for. For this reason we are now trying to do more ourselves but finding the time for it is difficult when generally have some sort of plans at the weekends. When the work started in January we set a target of being finished for my birthday so we could have a party…it’s my birthday this Friday 😅 so yeah! Time frames now are looking more like the end of September. Anyway that’s enough of the pity party for now have a shit load of plaster board to joint 🙂 please share your reno reality to make me feel better! #renovation #renovationproject #renoreality #renovatingourhome
