Restaurants charge a lot for beverages and it’s a substantial part of the profit. That way they can pay their staff adequately.

Sometimes they have it in Berlin. But definitely not in Munich. I think it should be a law in Germany. It’s ridiculous how much money they make with overpriced water at restaurants.

I prefer paying for water and refills so the owner can afford to pay a fair wage, and we don’t have to tip ridiculous amounts on top of the bill.
