My mom is slipping w/age, she’s accidentally made fun of me in front of people. The worst was in front of my adult daughter who was not having any of it & not gonna lie, that was fun to watch.

My friends would sometimes doubt me when they'd come over and interact with her. then one night she casually slips around a friend cause she thought they left.

my mom would show up for my teen book clubs, field trips and volunteer. she would act like a loving mom, but it was a way to spy. I would get in trouble after for sharing info about the family after.

One of the harder barriers I encountered going no contact is that everyone who only knows her as loving is going think I'm crazy and have lost my mind. I'm okay with that 🤷🏻♀️

Yep. This describes my mum and no one believed me. She would even turn family against me as well because she'd portray herself as the victim every time I would react to her behaviour.

Not only that she tells everyone every chance she gets that all I do is lie. I didn’t understand why as a child but as an adult I see she was laying the foundation in case I ever decided to tell.
