never a good idea to overtake on the left in situations like that, it is why the hwc advises you not to do it. Fiat should have checked, but you contributed by not following the hwc either

You’re not at fault I don’t think. Lanes aren’t merging, they’re two established lanes. Wouldn’t really say you’re undertaking. Their job to check it’s safe to move right. Tbh I think they don’t

anybody saying overtaking doesnt know what it is, they didnt switch lanes to pass the car and they were already in that lane, not undertaking

why are people so intent on mentioning undertaking? there is no manoeuvre. it was his Lane the whole way. under/overtaking is the act of being behind someone, going around and then back in front

i could understand roundabout exit as you need to make sure entrance and exit is clear but this is clearly fiats fault. lucky you had dash cam

We pass on the right in this country so you should have moved over to the right and allowed Fiat to move left after leaving the roundabout. Then you wouldn't have put yourself in that position. 50/50
