the drier the better... the papery outer layer will be wet now and it'll take longer to cure. not a huge deal, but if the rain takes a break, 3-5 days after rain is ideal!

ive found dependsnon soil. i cant pull my roots without some watering to soften soil due to compaction. wet ground will just mean longer cure time and watch for surface mold after harvest
