@mnfreedomfund: The criminalization of poverty and houselessness did not begin with last week’s #SCOTUS decision. The pre-trial system is case in point: Our clients, many of whom are unhoused, are arrested at disproportionate rates then jailed until trial when they can’t afford bail, while people with resources are released to fight their case at home. Last week’s decision is another step down this racist, unconstitutional path.
