I was the first person my stepson said “ I love you “ to. I let his mom think that she was, and still to do this day I proudly let her think that. Milestones aren’t something you claim from moms😅

As a nanny, mom & dad get allll the “firsts”. Even if they didn’t. What they don’t know won’t hurt them. Telling them they missed a milestone, will.

I used to be a nanny, and when baby would hit a milestone with me, I kept it quiet. Let baby practice, so when he did it for mom later, he looked like a pro!

I heard my nephews first belly laugh while i was baby sitting and I saw his first steps while watching him… I kept that shit to MYSELF and acted surprised when my sister said he did it again later 😅
