@mchandlermather: Don’t let Labor lie to you. “Recognising Palestine as part of a peace process” is not recognising Palestine. It is weasel words to avoid doing what at least 146 other countries have already done: Immediately recognise Palestine without conditions. 146 nations recognise Palestine today. Labor says maybe someday as part of a peace process. What peace process? Israel is carrying out a genocide in Gaza. It is not a peace process. If Labor wants peace they would take action to pressure Israel to stop. If Labor were serious: they’d recognise Palestine now. They would sanction the Israeli government. Expel the Israeli ambassador. End the two-way arms trade with Israel. Instead Labor has taken more actions against Payman and Palestine than Israel. This government recognises Israel but refuses immediately to recognise Palestine? 37,000 Palestinians murdered by Israel - 37,000 but not a single action against Israel. Weasel words won’t stop a genocide. Labor is going into overdrive to convince people they care about Palestine because they are feeling the pressure.
