the universities within switzerland have very different standards as well. You can’t even compare Eth to HSLU or University of ZH bcs academic vs prep for work in the industry

The regular school system has a few basic mathematics. A class 9 student won't know how to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit etc? They also don't learn physics and chemistry

Für alle die sagen, dass die Lehre einfacher ist als Gymi/FMS: In einer Lehre muss man auch zur Schule, man ist einfach nicht in Vollzeitschule. Und sie haben weniger Ferien

In soly we have Kernfächer and these r the ones who count for academics and the average gets calculated with math 2x because the focus is too hard on linguistics and you need a 5.2 at least (6 is max)

they are! i‘m swiss and whenever i studied abroad it was disappointing to see how easily others could get degrees that would have the same value (or even higher) for a lot less.
