@keyangle45: Apple’s $50 million settlement fund, created to resolve a class-action lawsuit over faulty butterfly keyboards on MacBooks, is set to be distributed to affected customers with approved claims, MacRumors reported. Despite the settlement being agreed upon in 2022, a court has only recently ordered payments to be made this month, as noted on the MacBook Keyboard Litigation Settlement website. Claims were accepted through March 6, 2023, though the delay in payments remains unclear. The defective butterfly keyboards affected MacBooks, MacBook Airs, and MacBook Pros sold between 2015 and 2019, causing widespread issues such as sticking or failing keys. One customer even wrote a viral song about the problem on YouTube. Eligible MacBook owners who had at least two keyboard replacements within four years of purchase will receive up to $395, while those with one keyboard replacement can get up to $125. Customers with minor key issues can expect up to $50. Despite attempts to improve the keyboard design, the issues persisted until Apple reverted to a more reliable scissor switch mechanism in late 2019. Apple has denied any wrongdoing, and the settlement is not an admission of guilt. #startups #business #keyangle #businesstips #businessowner #businessclass #BusinessTalk, #fintech fintech #StartupVibes, #EntrepreneurLife #SmallBizTips, #BusinessHacks, Keyangle #AfricanEntrepreneur, #StartupChallenge, #BusinessMotivation , #InnovateTogether, #YoungEntrepreneur , #BusinessInspire, #BizDevelopment technology #technews #techupdates #tech
