Anyone got tips on this, I like going to failure but at certain weights I’ll hit failure at like 20 reps but at higher weight I lose form and can maybe only do 3 good reps

Started lifting a year ago, never go to failure. My lifts have all gone up a lot, I feel like at 45 yo benching 260 is enough, I know it’s not 3 plates but I’m just done .
