Its not bout selfless or not its mote bout being loyal to God. If god says u have to do nice things u do them for God then u go to heaven. If you disobey you dont. God makes the rules.

It it’s not about good deeds. It’s accepting Jesus as your salvation (non practicing here) but was taught in a very catholic school. Thus the thief on the cross accessing heaven by accepting Jesus
