If you are the first to arrive at a level, you are often the one used to "clear the path" for the real move. 🏛️ 🔍 The Anatomy of the Stop Hunt Trap The market is designed to engineering "early participation." Institutions need your orders to fill theirs. The Initial Touch: Price hits a key level (Support/Resistance). Retail traders see this and "Strike" immediately. 🏹 The Hunt: Price intentionally breaks that level—not to start a new trend, but to hit the stop-losses of everyone who entered too early. This is the "Liquidity Sweep." 🧹 The Trap: Once the stops are cleared and the early traders are liquidated, the "fuel" is now available for the market to move in the original direction. 🛡️ The 3-Step "Patient Strike" Matrix To stop being the liquidity, you must change your sequence of entry. Follow this institutional workflow: Wait for the Sweep: Let the stop hunt happen. If price hasn't "attacked" the obvious low or high yet, the move hasn't truly begun. Wait for the Retest: After price sweeps and returns to structure, wait for it to touch the level again. This confirms that the "Aggressive Sellers/Buyers" have been exhausted. 🔄 Wait for Confirmation: Look for a Market Structure Shift (MSS) or an Engulfing Candle on a lower timeframe. This is the market telling you, "The trap is over; the move is ready." 🎯 🛠️ Strategic Execution The Rule of Three: If you feel the urge to click "Buy" because price is moving fast, take three deep breaths. If the trade is real, it will give you a retest.
