@drjaleelmohammed: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is classified into three main types: Hyperactive-impulsive ADHD is characterised by symptoms of hyperactivity and impulsivity. Those affected may frequently fidget, have trouble remaining seated, and exhibit excessive talking or disruptive behaviors. Impulsivity often leads to actions without forethought, such as interrupting others or difficulty waiting their turn. This type of ADHD is more commonly diagnosed in younger children, especially boys, who might be perceived as constantly on the move and overly energetic. Individuals with inattentive ADHD primarily struggle with symptoms related to inattention. They often find it challenging to maintain focus, follow through on tasks, and manage their organisational skills. They can be easily distracted and forgetful, and they might appear daydreamy or sluggish. These individuals can have significant difficulties with activities requiring prolonged mental effort, such as schoolwork or detailed projects. Combined ADHD includes significant symptoms of both inattention and hyperactivity-impulsivity. Individuals with this form of ADHD display a mix of the challenges found in the other two types. Combined ADHD is the most prevalent form of ADHD. ADHD often leads to impairments in multiple areas of life, including academic performance, social interactions, and family dynamics. #adhd #add #MentalHealth #psychiatry #psychiatrist
