Once itโs painted and all of the lights are on it will totally be fine. Also mirrors would be a huge help.

It looks dark now because thereโs no paint to reflect the light. Once the lights are on, and you have the walls painted, it will look bright.

Install one or more 75โ TV on the wall and send it a high resolution camera feed it becomes an electronic window. 4K camera and display is very affordable

With weather and storms, I think lots of walls on first level is a good idea in case you need to retreat to it. Weather patterns are getting intense.
