@samanthavarvel: Ina Garten flag cake recipe! 🫐🇺🇸 The cake: Combine 2¼ sticks of butter, 3 cups sugar in a bowl with an electric mixer for 3 minutes until light and fluffy. Add 6 eggs, 2 at a time, at medium-low speed, then add 1 cup sour cream and 1½ teaspoons of vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine 3 cups flour, ⅓ cup cornstarch, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp baking soda. Combine the wet and dry ingredients in the mixer on low. Pour the batter into a buttered and floured sheet pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. The frosting: Combine 4 sticks room temp butter and 1½lb room temp cream cheese, plus 1½ tsp vanilla on medium speed until very smooth. Then add 1½lb powdered sugar, sifted, a little at a time. Mix until smooth. Spread ¾ of the icing onto the cake, then decorate with blueberries, raspberries and/or strawberries to create a flag. Pipe more frosting between the stripes and add stars on top of the blueberries!
