The other thing that people will say & be very smug about Is: “you are stealing this from diabetics.” - not only are there versions strictly for weight loss. But a good majority of the people who are taking the medication are trying to avoid becoming type 2 diabetic. Which is a diagnosis that once you have, it can only go into remission can’t be cured

I’m a hospital pharmacist - most of the serious side effects I see ARE from diabetes patients bc high blood sugar and interactions with other diabetes meds increases the risk of serious complications

I’m literally hiding that I’m on it. I lost 30 pounds thru diet and exercise but I’m also insulin resistant and being on it is alleviating my insulin resistance symptoms and I feel SO MUCH BETTER

Agree. Part of the issue is also that they feel their advantage is being taken away. If fat people can be thin now, what sets them apart now. It’s very telling how vitriolic it can get .
