Bc isn’t going to have any rentals if they kept making the rules more and more in favour of the tenants. Owners will just say forget it I’ll just not rent out my space

I dont mind this rule as much as I mind the tribunal being backlogged so much you can't get rid of bad tenants. or not being able to immediately evict non paying tenants

We are not paying below market rate..we are already pay over rent because landlords wanta the tenants to take care of 100% of their mortgages and the expenses.

"market rate" is waaaaaay to high in BC! The government needs to set rent maximums so people can actually afford to live here! No one is going to cry for landlords that own multiple properties!

more difficult to be a landlord = less rentals = more expensive prices. I don't know what the government is thinking with these moves

In BC it was three months. I know, we went through it. We sold our place, 2 months to move, bought this place, three months for the tenants. We had a month in an air B&B while we waited.

new brunswick it's 15 days, can issue notice after one day late on rent - double taxes trade off for investing.

Why I refuse to be a landlord. it is not financially worth the headaches. Took me 6 months to get rid of one that decided to not pay rent, do loss of employment.

4 months notice -still getting rent during that time. Slow down the flipping of property? Just taking others into consideration…the ones laying the mortgage

I charge $1800 including everything. Even their own machines. I feel like I am a good landlord. They have paid late the last 3 months and I mean very late and I was nice and let it slide.

But if you give somebody two months notice to find a new place to live pack up and move, that’s not enough time in this rental market now. There’s no way you can find a place to live in two months.

new owners can't evict a tenant already residing in the home unless they're moving in themselves or doing significant renovations and yes 4 months notice now
