@menubyoven: this week we’re styling peppercorn 🖤🤍 decided to switch up my format a little & show more bts footage of my food styling sessions. i’ve been keeping this yin yang concept on reserve - actually since grape week, when I attempted to do this with deep purple & pale green grapes. i’m glad it didn’t work out then because the perfect opportunity presented itself when a friend gifted us (actually my partner, me by proxy) two generous bags of black and white peppercorn - thank you leo! you don’t have to read this part: not to sound dramatic but styling this set today felt a little cathartic. it’s already july. this time last year i did a complete 180 and pivoted from 7 years in fashion to pursue a career in food, with zero culinary experience. it’s hard starting again. finding your resources, building a network, developing skills from scratch and simply putting yourself out there is a mountain. don’t let a well edited video fool or a seemingly successful account fool you. there are many dark days where you feel the work you put in won’t ever bear fruit. but i do love it. i’ve never been more grateful, more obsessed, more dedicated to a job ever. i hope that comes across on camera because that’s where the real magic is. i think the best way to describe it is sometimes i feel like an absolute joke but i’m also having the best belly laughs of my life? idk its chaos ☯️ and i’m still trying to make sense of it. can’t believe its been a year of trying to make my food dreams happen. thanks for keeping me company on this scary little app. p.s. btw peppercorn plates + tweezers??? i think i just discovered the new age of zen gardens #foodstylist #foodstyling #stylist #foodphotography #stilllife #stilllifephotography #Vlog #behindthescenes #behindthescenes #berlin #foodcreative #pepper #peppercorn
