I think the big difference you will see outside of location and income bracket is when the house was purchased. The interest rates are very different now.

Mortgages nowadays are wild. I don’t have a mortgage but I got quoted 4800 for a mortgage in the IE in SoCal. Not even the desireable part of Southern California 🥲

From the NL. House is 127 m2 and we pay a monthly 1400 something each. It’s a house with garden, 3 bedrooms, attic which is a room, bathroom and 2nd toilet.
