Note as a geographer (one of the degree that do remote sensing) those jobs are mostly military/intellegence jobs. So army, navy, cia, military contractors and think tanks.

I’m a water resources engineer. In government jobs, it’s manageable. Usually not expected to do overtime. In private, the stress can be overwhelming and the overtime can be abundant.
