TikTok Details HERE👇🏽 These chunky knit blankets are so wonderful this time of year, but they are so very expensive. So I decided to make one. With zero (ZERO!) knitting experience, this blanket took me 2 hours to make. I’ve seen several methods, but this was the easiest. The top and bottom were knitted braids, the rest of the blanket was done by pulling the yarn through loop after loop. That’s. It. We absolutely love snuggling up with our new blanket. It’s so soft and cozy! Instructions 1. Unroll the yarn before knitting. This makes the process easier. 2. Make a slipknot. 3. Pull yarn through the knot loop. Repeat until you have the width you want. I did around 32 loops. 4. Lift loops one at a time, making new loops that will create the 1st row of the blanket. Pull yarn through loops from behind. Continue until you have made your first row to the end of the braid. 5. Use the 1st row loops to pull the yarn through from behind until you reach the end of the 2nd row. 6. Repeat until your blanket is as long as you want it to be. 7. The last town of loops should be longer than the rest. 8. Braid the top by pulling one loop through the next until you reach the end. 9. Pull the yarn through the last loop twice to knot. 10. I cut all but a few inches off the end yarn and then weave it through. You can use thread to secure it but that’s not necessary. 11. Adjust and even out the stitches by stretching and shaking the blanket. Note: when moving from one skein to the next, I tie and knot the ends and cut off excess. I’ve seen people burn the ends and meld together but that’s not necessary. The knots aren’t noticeable. I used 6 skeins of Yarn Bee Eternal Bliss (on sale at Hobby Lobby all the time) #chunkyknitblanket #chunkyblankettutorial #chunkyknitthrow
