I went in before check in one day and just asked if it was possible. They said sadly no but they did allow me to store my bag behind their counter so I didn’t have to carry it around town.

I arrived early once, asked nicely to put my bags in the back and went for a nice walk and lunch. It isn't hard unless you make it so.

Some hotels have a bag check in that you can use to store your luggage until it's check in time and then you can go do other stuff!

They will store your luggage and call you when your room is ready. I do it all the time when I travel for work. Go get brunch.

I’ve checked in early before, but I’ve only just stopped in to get my key and then said I’ll be back when the room is clean. Usually pretty accommodating with that.

We got the night before when I flew to Sydney because we got in at 6am so we could go in when we got there… Likewise, in Singapore we checked our bags when we got in at 9 and just sat in the lobby-

we got lucky when I went to boston we went to just leave our luggage there at 10am and they had a room available for us and we didn't even ask for early check in

I once got in 3 hours earlier than my mom - she thought the room was paid, it wasn't the hotel let me onto the WiFi to try and get someone to message back and gave me tea

We arrived at our hotel early and asked if they could hold our bags. We then went on a walk, came back (room still unavailable), used the hotel’s amenities and after only 1h, they had our room ready.
