@amanda_the_love_warrior: The first time I felt the burn of healing deep emotional issues… I remember feeling so alone… even though I was being coached one to one. It was so difficult. I couldn’t cheat, or lie to myself anymore. Thankfully, along my coaching certification journey, teachers/coaches/colleagues reminded me, and invited me to trust the tried & true framework of the VITA system and let the emotional alchemy, healing, and integration happen. I had flashbacks to the times I had survived terrifying nights with a former alcoholic partner of whom I was neither quite sure what they’d do… nor how to get out of that situation. But flash forward, a year post breakup, I DID know how badly I wanted to heal from that trauma. I did what the teacher invited me to try, and to my amazement I not only survived, but was surprised and impressed with the depths of healing and integration I was able to attain. Session after session. Each time, I was able to go deeper, and face off with more and more of the emotional wounds and pieces of me that I had kept a secret - even to myself, for far too long. Now, I’m not unique in this scenario. It’s not lost on me that millions of people have, and sadly continue to live with, and perish from, the various levels of abuse and trauma an alcohol addicted partner can bring about. I’m sharing my personal story because it’s my testimony…my real lived experience… and it’s the evidence I have, and the reason I know if this has worked for me, it can work for you too. The numbness, the anger, the betrayal, and the fury I felt… slowly, and over time… was alchemized and transmuted into deep self love, and the ability to experience pure joy, and true compassion (to name a few).
