@bakes_by_brea: oop spot the spelling mistake on my lil’ label🥲 tres lecheS cake. not sure how i feel about the texture of this cake but it’s definitely tasty. i loveee condensed milk so the idea of soaking a cake with it (along with other milks) made me wanna try it out😆 ~cake recipe from @John Kanell Notes: •refer to “Tres Leches Cake- preppykitchen.com” for full recipe. •my pan was 9”x9”. •when cutting cake to fit, cut it slightly smaller than box! my cake squares were too snugged so ended up squeezing the cake in the box, so think when i poured the milk mixture it didn’t absorb as well. •better to leave milk mixture to soak in cake overnight. left it for 2hrs here before eating, which was okay too. but when i had it again the next day it tasted better. •use cake scraps after cutting to make another tres leches cake, and use remaining milk mixture with it. #tresleches #treslechescake #chiffoncake #cake #cakes #creamcake #strawberriesandcream #baking #bake #homebaking #homebaker
