Wrap the tile over the sill so it won’t move plus, there is no way this is waterproof

Don’t worry about gaps in your shower pan. Just pack thinset in there and slap some kerdi on it. Waterproofing is for suckers. Remember faster and cheaper is always better than a professional install.
