I love having an open shoe rack. 😅 Better ventilation and guests know where to put their shoes. My place also only has one closet (in the bedroom) so I've embraced open concept storage.

But if you come from a place where you don’t wear shoes inside at all taking shoes off and bringing to the closet is a pain. I don’t have a shoe rack in my new apartment yet and it looks messy
