I don’t think this is fair considering it now takes 46 years to save a house deposit in Sydney. When are they supposed to enjoy life? With the way prices are now there isn’t even a point trying to buy

I haven’t hit that phase. My husband invested a small amount of money in shares at 12/13 and that was our house deposit at 21/22. We’ve never been poor BUT we have always sacrificed.

But travelling in my 20s was the best no regrets. I’m still semi comfortable in my 30s. No rich family or ultra high income. Balance is important.
