As someone who has experienced infertility, I always suggest telling those friends over text message. No requirement to immediately respond and gives them time to feel all the feelings in private.

Sounds impersonal but best thing my best friend did was tell me via text. It allowed me to respond the way I wanted to back to her but be able to grieve privately and not have to hold in my emotions

The best advice I can give is to TEXT the news to your TTC friend. 2 of my friends got pregnant the first month while I was 10 months in to TTC and they both texted me. Gave me time to sob and process

When my friend got pregnant, I was so happy for her when she told me. After I left though I cried in my car, wishing it was me. Shortly after I did finally get my miracle baby.

I’ve cried in closets, bathrooms, cars, etc after hearing news. Then have to go back out to the function and pretend it’s all ok. And deep down ur truly happy for them, just sad when is it ur turn?

We’re no longer TTC and have moved on but it’s crazy thinking back at some of the ways I found out friends at the time were pregnant, then other people who delivered the news so beautifully.
