@dogs_buddy_shelter: RUTH UPDATE: She was scheduled to have her tube replaced recently, and the procedure went as expected. She has been able to eat and drink on her own pretty well, but we are still keeping the feeding tube in place, because we want to make sure she is receiving enough nutrition and maintains a healthy weight. Along with her eating on her own, Ruth is fed through through her tube with supplements 3 times a day. She is an extremely calm and docile dog, which makes handling her very easy. This beautiful girl was rescued earlier this year, on February 26th, with a massive, malignant tumOr in her mouth, which had consumed half of her jaw. The entire left side of her jaw needed to be removed, and with the help of multiple therapies, Ruth has shown us all her resilience and will to live! It won't be easy finding Ruth a home, given her circumstances, but she is great with other dogs, and hopefully soon someone will notice just how special Ruth is and will choose to make her a part of their family.
