I'm from Illinois & just got back from visiting NYC. I went because I LOVE riding the subway. 1st purchase off the plane was the 7 day unlimited ride metro card

Not from NYC, but in Chicago we have a "Stay aware, but mind your own business" motto when taking the CTA. Took that mindset with me to NYC and it was super chill 🤷🏻♀️Would go back 💯

I’ve visited NYC many times. I love it, it’s the best. I always ride the subway. Never experienced anything weird. But I know to not make eye contact.
