I really really was cautious with the way that we flipped it, and I also didn't want to make it an American landscape song like how John Denver like speaks on the Chattanooga, like he already did that so I needed to make it my own. I explained this a little bit in the video I posted, but it's not a heartbreak song. it's a conversation with yourself. like none of it is to your partner. it comes across like you're talking to someone, but it's all like talking to yourself. so if you go back and listen to it from that perspective, it's actually really cool. while I was doing Lonely Road, Post Malone did this [country genre] and so the whole time I'm thinking I'm like people are gonna say that I'm just following this [country trend], like and I had to humbly sit there while for years I've been curating this song [Lonely Road], knowing that I'm gonna get like, there's, I'm gonna have to fight against something here. I worked the guitar over and over again, because I was like, I can't come out with this country, it can't be like blatant country." When Logan Paul asked if Megan Fox is pregnant, mgk denied, saying "no, that was a music video. I like to leave a lot of stuff up for interpretation. there's a reason behind every single thing that happened in that [Lonely Road] music video. some part of me is like, leave art up for interpretation.
