@halalxplorer: Trying the viral Maritozzo from Dolce Vyta in Covent Garden London This Maritozzo has become one of the hottest desserts in London this summer. A Maritozzo is basically an Italian cream bun. A generous amount of cream is filled in a bun and then you get to choose between some glazes (caramel, dark chocolate, white chocolate and pistachio) and then you can also top all of that off with some fun toppings of your choice. How did it taste? Delicious cream filled dessert which actually isn’t too heavy. It may look overwhelming and heavy, but the cream is actually quite light and there’s even a slight hint of a citrus note in the air. Making this cream dessert actually light and fairly easy to eat. Easy to eat in terms of it not being heavy though. As in terms of the handling of it and the practicality of actually eating it is quite a challenge. Let’s put it this: there’s no way of eating this without making a mess. Is it halal? Yes, no alcohol or meat derived ingredients are to be used on the Maritozzo.
