It’s a physical chemical imbalance! I’ve been on antidepressants for 25 years. We need to stop the stigma on medication. It’s the same as blood pressure pills and diabetes meds.

I’ve been depressed since I was 14, and started therapy 3.5 years ago (I’m 25). I’ve been doing so much better over the past year and have learned SO MUCH. But more recently I started taking antidepressants mainly because I got diagnosed with PMDD, and it can help symptoms… I have so much energy and feel like a kid again it’s crazy how much of a difference it is already making

An illness is an illness. Diabetics need insulin when their pancreas isn’t creating it by itself. I take antidepressants because my brain doesn’t produce the chemicals it needs to. It’s the same thing.

No I literally had crippling postpartum anxiety, rage, depression and still have horrible horrible anxiety but I never turned to antidepressants or meds. I think they’re becoming too normalized.
