Remember if a place is above a restaurant, you’re more likely to have pests. Also pay attention to the floor levels. I’ve toured so many places where the floors weren’t level and it can cause issues

Look in the cabinets, on the doors, on the hinges — check for the puddy they put there (advion) to ward off infestations. That has always been a bad sign - wish someone had told me this b4 🤎

also check out how old the windows are. i have had so many bug issues in my current apt (we’ve killed like 15 hornets this summer) because the windows are old and have gaps everywhere
