You can take to your stylist to add layers at the bottom to help blend. But you need side clips…you can use alone to do pigtail braids too

As someone who has worn & makes her own, they are a great alternative without the damage. Unfortunately, most of the time with shorter hair, they need to be trimmed & not easy to put in a ponytail.
