Only benefit of the first way is it won’t leak. If yours leaks you then have the product but it’s in the bag.

I've used the "in the bag" before. the bottle popped its lid. try to get that moisturizer back in the bottle!!! lid off, bag over opening, put lid back on is the best. sorry

I actually do both. I use a little plastic wrap & then put everything in a ziplock bag. That way something doesn’t leak all over everything else.

The best hack is squeezing some air out of it and the resealing it so it won’t pop or come rushing out when you open it at high altitude. Learned after multiple trips to high altitude.

I joke but Saran Wrap actually works well inside the cap and then put both in a ziplock bag for double protection

Some bottles (*cough* inkey list *cough*) leak in the bag and you lose product and everything else you might put in the bag gets covered in it
