I have predators that dig holes from outside until they reach underneath the coop. Do you think I can put the hardware cloth on the ground then cover it with some soil ?

doesn't work against ground squirrels. our coop is fully made of hardware cloth and the squirrels have chewed tons of holes into our coop.

I used metal strapping to attach the hardware wire to the coop with screws and rubber washers! Nothing is going to get to my chickens 😌😊
