I’m a dental hygienist and there is some truth behind this. Although, if you have a cavity through the enamel that reaches the dentin- more treatment

Hydroxyapatite will not reverse cavities but can help remineralize weak areas of teeth that are more prone to decay. It’ll help more with sensitivity (while whitening).
