im from california and i thought this was normal lol. the last owners put another layer of fence so it would be consistent but there were so many spiders and bees between the fences that we tore it do

I've never seen a wooden fence in CA. I'm in so cal every thing is concrete blocks or stucco

y'all do know they have fences that look good on both sides. Not common in Florida

From Oregon, I was always taught that the “bad side” goes on the owner’s side. That, I think, is being a good neighbor. 🤷♂️

When I built my fence in Texas I went ahead and did the good side facing out all the way around. Makes it harder for people to jump.

In Florida if you put it up, you have to have the good side facing your neighbors IF it's on the property line. Once you are five or so inches on your own property you can do what you want.
