Gingerbread French Toast Sticks for Day 21 of our Recipe Advent Calendar! #ad This is the perfect Christmas morning breakfast! Quick, easy, packed with festive flavor and absolutely delicious.     If you’re not using a griddle for french toast and pancakes, you’re doing it wrong!! Our All Clad cast iron griddle is just perfect 🫶 It distributes heat evenly so you get the perfect golden brown sear on french toast stick, and it’s enameled, which means it’s easy to clean and you don’t have to season the surface. We also like that it’s not too big, so it can fit in any kitchen cabinet! #AllClad     Bookmark the RECIPE for these gingerbread French toast sticks below:    Ingredients:    1 lb loaf of challah, brioche, or sourdough bread (day old bread works best)  4 large eggs  1 cup whole milk  1/2 cup heavy cream  1 tsp vanilla extract  1/4 cup maple syrup  2 tbsp molasses  1/2 tsp ground cinnamon  1/2 tsp ground ginger  1/4 tsp ground nutmeg  1/8 tsp ground cloves  1/8 tsp salt  Unsalted butter for cooking    Slice bread into sticks that are about 4 inches long and one inch wide.     Add eggs to a large bowl and whisk well. Add in milk, cream, vanilla, maple syrup, molasses, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves and salt and whisk until smooth.     Preheat the griddle over medium heat. Once heated, add 1 tbsp butter to the griddle.     Soak each stick in the egg mixture for 5-6 seconds on each side. Transfer to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining French toast sticks.     Serve warm with powdered sugar and/or maple syrup. #frenchtoast #gingerbread #brunch #christmas
