@ryanthedeepend: My name is Ryan, and I am in recovery. I’m still early in my recovery journey and working out what works for me. #foryou #fyp #foryoupage #addiction #addict #recovery #recoveryispossible #recoveryjourney
I think whatever works for you is the best way forward - if it’s something you’re aiming to do forever it has to be realistic! It’s not one size fits all and you’ve clearly put a lot of work in

I had to give up both because they were intrinsically linked to me. But if you can still enjoy a few drinks without hitting the gear, you’re absolutely winning a life as far as I’m concerned

Cocaine anonymous saved my son but everyone’s recovery is individual . It’s what works for you! My son still has an addictive personality but is now addicted to running marathons 😂 x

Totally agree. Every addiction journey is unique. And you should do what works for you personally. You’re doing so well 😊

I have been clean for 15years and drinking was never a problem. If you can drink responsibly still without that becoming an addiction then that's fine for you. Alcohol was never for me and never could

Good luck with your journey and I wish you well. Serious question though, why won’t you give up alcohol if there is even a minimal increasedrisk of relapse, if your sobriety is that important to you?

to what extent do you allow some blame to fall to other people? e.g dealers, the people you worked with, people normalising it etc. Are dealers immoral or do you believe it’s down to the user?
