@oliveyousomatcha: Cooking for an elderly family member and the rest of the family can be very overwhelming. One of the biggest things I’ve learned to make life a lot easier in the kitchen and save a ton of time is to ingredient prep at the beginning of the week. I take one to two hours at the beginning of the week to cook starches, proteins, steamed veggies, broths, and sometimes sauces. That way I can mix and match all of the ingredients all week long, which creates a ton of variety and a ton of delicious meals.
