Prolly because naturalism is often frowned upon in arts being not too special. At least from an academic Artists view. However his skill is masterful and should be respected. A lot of ppl who don’t know much about art are impressed by masterful naturalism. And that’s what art is about. Making an impression. These paintings are a spark to start the flame of a genuine feeling and that is the true soul of arts.

His light is amazing. Truly these are fantastic. Please encourage him to get an agent. Monet didn’t paint in earnest and start selling his paintings until his 40s, grandma Moses was 78.
