I have moderate to profound hearing loss and I have done this, except the sink overflowed onto the floor. I never hearing smoke alarms too.

omg I do this too. I accidentally flooded my MEL's downstairs kitchen because her sink couldn't drain fast enough 🤦♀️

I have the same issue. Can’t hear the water running. The first time I ever did with my hearing aids it startled me and hurt my ears

My son has severe hearing loss and does this every once in a while. I thought I was going crazy the first couple times I found it on.

I do the same even with my hearing aids in. The water running is at a tone I do not hear.
