@misojenkitchen: the superior spam musubi >>> #spammusubi #ricepaper #hawaiianfood crispy spam musubi: 1 can luncheon meat (mine is from @ofoodusa) nori sheets white rice rice paper vegetable oil sauce: 2 tsp gochujang (from ofood) 2 minced garlic cloves 1 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp mirin 1 tbsp water omelette: 3 eggs 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp black pepper to make the crispy spam musubi, start by slicing and pan-frying spam until crispy. in a bowl, mix gochujang, minced garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce, mirin, and water to make the sauce. pour the sauce over the spam and allow the spam to caramelize in the sauce. beat eggs with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then cook into a thin omelette and slice into strips (about the same size as the spam slices). assemble the musubi by placing a nori strip, rice, a slice of spam, and an omelette strip on a softened rice paper sheet. fold the rice paper to enclose the filling. lightly fry the wrapped musubi in vegetable oil until crispy. i served mine with bang bang sauce but you can enjoy it as is!
