As a landlord this makes me think I should sell up. Pop the money in the bank and relieve myself of the stress.six families will be homeless, but if I can’t protect my family how can I protect others.

All I want as a renter is for someone to recognise that if I'm paying over £1000 a month in rent I can infact afford to pay a mortgage I just can't afford to save a massive deposit ontop of my rent!

This has resulted in my landlord serving us with a section 21 today as he doesn't want to be a landlord anymore. 9 years unbroken rent record, right through COVID. Thanks Labour.

A lot of people forget that most landlords are normal people with a large portion of their savings invested into a second property. When a tenant doesnt pay how do they cover the mortgage repayments?

As a landlord this is truly terrifying, I had to evict one tenant for not paying rent for 4 months, it took 8 months to evict and cost me so much money, they also caused £12k in damages.
