@guardian: The Israeli military told all Palestinian civilians in Gaza City to leave and head south on Wednesday as it stepped up a military offensive in the area where dozens of people have been killed in the past 48 hours. Many civilians told the Guardian they had concluded there was no refuge in Gaza, and that they lacked confidence in the safe corridors set by Israel. Residents said they also feared that if they left they would not be able to take belongings or return. About 90% of the population of the Gaza Strip have been displaced at least once since the war between Israel and Hamas began, according to the UN’s humanitarian agency.
