@kirstenclawson: I regret not giving it more thought and attention. The offers came in all different forms. Through the bank, employers, independent brokers. But why would I need it? We were young and healthy. Why would I spend money on a life insurance policy? "I'll worry about that when we’re older.” I said. In hindsight, I wish I would have taken every single offer. It may sound insensitive, but death is not cheap, Having even a small policy would have had me more prepared for life without him. I wish I would have put myself in a situation that allowed me to grieve him without the unrelenting financial burden of the cost of losing him. So my practical advice? Get the life insurance.
