I would take a different approach. Something about a grandfather on hospice who always loves that i bring his favorite candy when I visit, but i’ll let him know you said he can’t have them anymore.

Ironically, when I took a wilderness first aid class, they were huge proponents of always carrying emergency Snickers bars because they were a nice compact package to quickly deliver protein & sugar.

People are always commenting on my groceries, it’s to the point where I just look at them and smile and say “ ok my turn, let’s see what you’ve got in your cart “ 😊

Reminds me of rhe time I was taking the elevator at work I just had knee surgery lol. Snobby lady yelled at me to take the stairs because it would be better for someone like me. I’m not in jail so 🙂
